Generate your own power. Keep the heat. Cut the bill.
AI Consultants delivers onsite, behind-the-meter generation for sites that need reliable electricity and useful heat — not another supplier slogan. Combined heat and power, commercial solar, heat pumps and microgrids, specified to the load you actually run.
Combined heat and power (CHP)
One fuel in. Electricity and heat out. Waste heat that a central power station throws away is captured for hot water, process steam or space heating. Fuel options can include natural gas, biomethane and hydrogen-ready engines, specified to your decarbonisation path.
Use when: you have a steady heat load and want lower unit cost plus less grid exposure.
CHP →Commercial solar
Large-roof and ground-mount arrays that produce daytime power with no onsite combustion. Pair with storage or with CHP so the site is not dark when the sun is.
Use when: you have area, a daytime load, and a need for a zero-emission generation slice.
Solar →Commercial heat pumps
Electrified heat from air, ground or waste-heat sources. Used alone on the right sites, or with CHP and solar so electricity you generate does useful thermal work.
Use when: you are coming off fossil boilers and have — or will have — low-carbon power.
Heat pumps →Microgrids
Generation, storage and controls run as one site system: island when the network fails, optimise when it does not. CHP, solar, batteries and heat plant behind a single operating picture.
Use when: resilience is a board issue, or several assets will fight each other without a controller.
Microgrids →Why generate on site?
Efficiency
Separate heat and power wastes fuel. Cogeneration and well-matched heat pumps raise the useful energy you get from every unit of gas or electricity you buy. Metering shows cost and carbon in the same view.
Resilience
Onsite plant keeps critical loads up when the public network is tight or down. Monitoring, spares and a maintenance contract matter more than the brochure efficiency number.
Sustainability
Behind-the-meter generation is one of the few levers that cuts both Scope 2 electricity and, with heat recovery or heat pumps, onsite fuel burn. Hydrogen-ready and biomethane options keep the asset usable as fuels change.
